This value was obtained using the world average values of ${\mathit m}_{{{\mathit Z}}}$ and ${\mathit m}_{{{\mathit W}}}$ as presented in these listings.
2ABBOTT 1998N obtain this from a study of 28323 ${{\mathit W}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit e}}{{\mathit \nu}_{{{e}}}}$ and 3294 ${{\mathit Z}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit e}^{+}}{{\mathit e}^{-}}$ decays. Of this latter sample, 2179 events are used to calibrate the electron energy scale.
3ABBOTT 1998P obtain this from a study of 5982 ${{\mathit W}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit e}}{{\mathit \nu}_{{{e}}}}$ events. The systematic error includes an uncertainty of $\pm0.00175$ due to the electron energy scale.
